Procedure

 

Introduction/Attention Grabber:

The classroom will be arranged as if it was the last day of the project.  (The racing ramp will be assembled along with a couple different paper car designs, the car show, and print media displays.) There will be a short demonstration of the paper cars ability to race down the track, along with a short explanation of the car show, and print media displays.

Lecture/Demonstration:

The engineering/design handout will be given to each student.  Each section of the project will be introduced and explained to the students.  A short lesson on orthographic and isometric projections will be given to make sure that all students are familiar with these projections.

Key Points:

All the required forms will be handed out when that part of the unit is introduced.

Activity:

The students will be given time to assemble there groups. While in there groups they will have to develop an outline of tasks that need to be accomplished, as well as selecting there jobs. This activity will continue the following day if not completed.

Closing:

Students will be given the chance to ask any questions, or make any suggestions about the project.

 

 

Assessment:

To be filled by instructor after lesson has been given.  Used to reflect on the days lesson.
