Procedure
Introduction/Attention Grabber: There will be a grid placed on the board with the heading “What aspects of your final project should be assessed?” The class will be told to think about the question and that they would have the first quarter of the class period to finish their groups projects. |
Lecture/Demonstration: The class will develop a rubric with the guidance of the teacher. Key Points: The class will deduce for themselves why a rubric is important to the grading of the project. It is important that the class feels as a whole that the rubric is fair and that all aspects of he grading are covered. |
Activity: After the first quarter of the class period has completed, the class will regroup to begin the rubric that will account for the majority of their grade. They will be asked the question that was on the board from the beginning of class. They will generate a rubric of assessment based on the criteria given to them in the beginning. |
Closing: The class will have fifteen minutes for cleanup, and to write their daily journal entries. |
Assessment: To be filled by instructor after lesson has been given. Used to reflect on the days lesson. |
Homework: None will be assigned for the last week of work. It will be their responsibility to make sure that all their required work be completed by Friday. |
